2012 Season Review: By the Numbers
WHEELERSBURG, OH-One of the coolest things to do after each racing season is take a look at some of the interesting statistics from the season. In this years annual “By the Numbers” season review article, we take a look at some of the more interesting stats from the 2012 season below.
1-Number of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winners that competed at SOS in 2012; Ken Schrader on May 18th.
4-Most different leaders in a feature event in 2012; Late Model feature on September 14th.
6-Number of different feature winners in 2012 in each of the track’s four weekly classes for a total of 18 different features in the four weekly classes.
7-Number of feature wins by 2012 Jordan Heating & Cooling UMP Modified Track Champion Jeremy Rayburn, the most of any driver.

13-Age of the youngest drivers that competed at SOS in 2012; Colten Wright, Brianna Robinson, and Tyler Smith.

14.125-Fastest lap time turned in 2012; Jimmy Stinson in a 410 Sprint Car on August 10th.
17-Youngest age of a feature winner in 2012; Tony Whitt Jr. on September 14th and 29th in the GCP Engines Sport Mods.
20-Average car count in the Jordan Heating & Cooling UMP Modified division in 2012.
21-Average car count in the Late Model division in 2012.
29-Number of cars that competed in the GCP Engines Sport Mod division in 2012, up from 3 in 2011.
35-Largest Late Model car count of the season which occured on April 27th.
70-Age of the oldest driver who competed at SOS in 2012; Delmas Conley.
5,000-Number of dollars Joey Kramer won in three starts at SOS in 2012 in the Jordan Heating & Cooling UMP Modified division.
25,000-Number of dollars won during the course of the 2012 season by 2012 Late Model Track Champion Eddie Carrier Jr.
214,255-Number of dollars paid out in purse money in 2012 by Southern Ohio Speedway.
