WHEELERSBURG, OH-It was set to be a great night of racing at the Southern Ohio Speedway on Friday, July 19th with a great field of cars in attendance. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans as the skies opened with a 20-25 minute steady rain with more severe weather heading towards the track as heavy lightning was all around. SOS officials then made the decision to cancel the races to get the crowd out ahead of the heavy storm. About 15 minutes after the races were canceled, a heavy storm hit putting down a lot of rain.
The originally scheduled Buckeye 30 and Meet the Drivers Night has been rescheduled for next Friday, July 26th. The racing card will be the same with Late Models-$3,000 to win, Modifieds-$800 to win, GCP Engines Sport Mods presented by Tomahawk Race Cars, Pure Stocks, and Enduros.
