Event Preview: March 22nd, Test N’ Tune #1

WHEELERSBURG, OH-The preseason continues this Saturday, March 22nd when the Southern Ohio Speedway will host Test N’ Tune #1.  Test N’ Tune #1 will feature a full afternoon of open practice as teams prepare for the Opening Night races on April 4th.

Test N’ Tune creates an excellent opportunity for race teams to shakedown new cars and also try different setups.  For rookie drivers, drivers with little experience, and drivers changing classes, the Test N’ Tune provides valuable track time before getting in a competitive environment on Opening Night.  For lots of race teams, the track time in the preseason Test N’ Tune pays huge dividends when the season officially begin.

While Test N’ Tunes may not offer a thrilling finish or lots of side by side action, for race fans Test N’ Tune #1 will be the first time they get to see Late Models, Modifieds, Sport Mods, and Pure Stocks flying through the high banks since October of last year.  Test N’ Tune also offers race fans with the opportunity to get a sneak peak at the 2014 paint schemes and also get an early look at drivers who will be contenders over the course of the season.

All classes of cars will be welcome for Test N’ Tune #1, whether it is a weekly class at SOS or not.  Previous preseason Test N’ Tunes at the track have seen good car counts with Late Models, Modifieds, Sprint Cars, Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Bombers, 4 cylinders, Mod Lites, and Legends cars among some of the types of race cars that typically show.

Gates will open on Saturday at 11:00 am with open practice from noon until 6:00 pm.  General admission is FREE while pit passes are only $10 for ages 7 and up and FREE for ages 6 and under.  There is no fee to enter a car.  The concession stand will be open all day.  For more information visit www.southernohiospeedway.com.
