March 28th Test N’ Tune Recap

WHEELERSBURG, OH-Despite temperatures staying in the low 30’s for the entire afternoon, the largest crowd to assemble at Southern Ohio Speedway for a Test N’ Tune event braved the cold temperatures on Saturday, March 28th.  Around 30 race cars were in attendance with the classes represented including Late Model, Modified, Sport Mod, Mini-Sprint, Bomber, and 4 cylinder.

With frigid cold temperatures in the 20’s in the morning freezing any water put on the track and the track prep crew dealing with a frozen racing surface, the Test N’ Tune got underway a little after noon.  Each car in attendance made several runs on what was smooth track surface.  Unfortunately, the day had a couple of major accidents with a Sport Mod hitting the turn 4 wall hard early in the day and another Sport Mod hitting the turn 4 wall hard towards the end of the day.  Both drivers were uninjured.

With the Test N’ Tune in the books, up next is Premier Physical & Occupational Therapy Opening Night this Friday, April 3rd!  The exciting racing card will feature nearly $15,000 in total purse money with Late Models-$2,000 to win, $250 to start, Modifieds-$750 to win, $140 to start, Sport Mods-$300 to win, $35 to start, Late Model Consolation Feature-$400 to win, and Modified Consolation Feature-$200 to win.
